Potential for Opening New Routes
Despite the developed network, the demand for international bus transportation remains high, especially under the conditions of closed airspace. Among the countries with potential for opening new routes are Moldova, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Germany.
The Ministry of Development notes that next year, the reform of international transportation is planned to continue. In particular, the expansion of the electronic booking system for border crossings and the simplification of the procedure for obtaining preferential loans for updating the bus fleet are planned.
In the eleven months of this year, Ukraine’s bus fleet has increased by 2,421 vehicles, representing a growth of 27% compared to the same period last year. Of this number, 1,203 new buses were registered (an increase of 9%), while used buses accounted for 1,218 (an increase of 50%).
