Azerbaijan Becomes the Leader in Importing Ukrainian Beef, while Egypt is the Largest Buyer of Wheat

From January to October 2025, Ukraine exported 15,330 tons of frozen beef, which is 4% higher than the figure for the same period last year. Revenue from exports increased by 8% and reached $64 million.

Major Importers of Ukrainian Beef in 2025

The largest volumes of Ukrainian beef were purchased by Azerbaijan, accounting for 33% of total exports, surpassing China, which received 28%. Significant supplies were also made to Uzbekistan (16%), Kazakhstan (8%), and Moldova (6%). However, by the end of the first nine months of 2025, China remained the key buyer of Ukrainian beef, but by the end of ten months, leadership shifted to Azerbaijan.

Additionally, during the ten months of 2025, Ukraine exported 14,940 tons of live cattle, which is 16% more than last year. The export value increased by 42% and amounted to $34.61 million. The main destinations for these supplies remain Lebanon (84% of exports), Kazakhstan (9%), and Libya (6.4%).

Egypt Increases Purchases of Ukrainian Wheat

At the same time, Egypt significantly increased its import volumes of Ukrainian wheat in 2025, becoming the largest buyer of this crop. In September, the share of Ukrainian grain in the structure of Egyptian wheat imports reached 48%. Overall, over ten months, the share of Ukrainian wheat among all supplies to Egypt doubled, reaching 30%, gradually displacing Russian products from the market.
