In April 2026, the average salary of employees in Ukraine reached 30,515 UAH. This is 0.5% higher than in March of the same year, indicating a gradual increase in wage levels in the market.

Differences Between Employment Sectors
The income levels of employees vary significantly depending on the sector of activity. The highest salaries are traditionally observed in the information technology and telecommunications sectors: the average income in this field is 77,861 UAH. At the same time, the lowest earnings are found among employees in the arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation sectors — only 19,855 UAH per month.
Regional Salary Features
The level of salary significantly depends on the region of residence. The highest incomes are received by residents of Kyiv — the average salary in the capital reached 48,003 UAH, while in the Kyiv region, this figure is 30,584 UAH. Meanwhile, the central and western regions show the lowest wage levels: in Kirovohrad region, the average salary is 21,199 UAH, and in Chernivtsi region — 21,687 UAH.
Despite the overall increase in the average salary, the country still faces the problem of delayed payments. As of May 1, 2026, the total amount of wage arrears reached 3.7 billion UAH.
At the same time, according to the OLX Work platform, there is further growth in salaries in the construction and repair services sectors. Particularly high demand and the largest payments are recorded among specialists in narrow specialties — plasterers, facade workers, bricklayers, and tilers.
