The Pension Fund of Ukraine has reported that the average salary used for pension calculations in May 2025 amounted to 20 355.40 UAH. This figure is used in calculating future pensions for Ukrainians.

Salary Growth Dynamics and Inflation Impact
Compared to the same period last year, the average salary for pension calculations has increased by more than 3,000 UAH — in May 2024, it was 17 178.87 UAH. The growth rate was 18.5% over the year. However, according to the National Bank of Ukraine, inflation during this time reached 15.9%. Thus, the real salary growth over the year was only about 2.6%.
The previous monthly average salary used for pension calculations (for April 2025) was 19 856 UAH. This indicates a gradual increase in this figure over the past months.
Changes in Payments and Administration of Social Assistance
On June 25, 2025, the Pension Fund completed the financing of pensions for June, directing 67.8 billion UAH for these needs. Starting July 1, 2025, social payments in Ukraine will be administered by the Pension Fund, which will optimize the application process for social assistance and expedite payments for citizens.

Currently, the average pension in Ukraine is about 6 300 UAH, or approximately 132 euros, while the minimum pension is around 60 euros. These amounts significantly lag behind similar figures in neighboring countries and other European states.
