The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, reported on the active implementation of artificial intelligence in key processes of American intelligence. In particular, cutting-edge technologies have been employed to analyze and publish materials related to the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy.

Using Artificial Intelligence for Declassifying Archives
According to Tulsi Gabbard, the implementation of artificial intelligence has allowed for the automation of the review of sensitive documents. Thanks to neural networks, the intelligence office was able to prepare for publication tens of thousands of pages of archival materials in a short time, which previously required lengthy manual analysis. Experts had predicted that this process would take a considerable amount of time; however, AI enabled the rapid localization of fragments of documents that remain classified.
“With the help of neural networks, her office was able to publish tens of thousands of pages related to the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy in a short time,” noted the intelligence chief.
Reforming Intelligence Agencies and Implementing New Technologies
Tulsi Gabbard emphasized that during her time in Congress, she was frustrated by the slow pace of data declassification. Now, as the head of intelligence, she prefers the technologies of private companies to avoid significant costs associated with developing in-house solutions. Automating routine operations allows analysts to focus on complex tasks, thereby increasing the efficiency of the agency.
This new technological approach has become part of a large-scale reform that Gabbard initiated upon her appointment. She established a special task force for internal changes, eliminated DEI programs, dismissed opponents of former President Donald Trump, and personally oversees briefings for the head of state. According to her, these initiatives are aimed at adapting intelligence to modern challenges, and the use of AI is not only a way to enhance efficiency but also a tool for structural changes and the centralization of the U.S. intelligence system.
It is also noted that companies in the field of artificial intelligence in the U.S. currently face the risk of cyber espionage from China, highlighting the relevance of data protection in the high-tech sector.
