CryptoQuant analysts predict that at the end of the current Bitcoin cycle, there may be a rise in altcoins amid a decline in the dominance of the first cryptocurrency.

Market Dynamics in the Final Phase of the Bitcoin Cycle
Experts from CryptoQuant note that in the second half of the Bitcoin cycle, there is traditionally an increase in the market capitalization of altcoins. According to them, in previous cycles, the gradual reduction of Bitcoin volumes in the portfolios of medium- and long-term investors contributed to the price increase of the leading cryptocurrency. Simultaneously, as new capital was attracted, altcoins showed significant growth, which was characteristic of this phase.
Current Market Features and Analysts’ Expectations
However, this time the situation has its differences. Since the beginning of 2025, Bitcoin has repeatedly gone through phases of correction after short-term growth, and during these periods, altcoins experienced even deeper losses, which, according to experts, indicates their overall weakness at this stage of the market.
“However, in the current cycle, Bitcoin repeatedly faces corrections after minor growth, and during such periods, altcoins suffer sharp declines, indicating their overall weakness,” the statement said.
Despite the existing difficulties, CryptoQuant experts do not advise losing hope for further growth. They emphasize that as the final phase of the current cycle approaches, Bitcoin’s dominance in the market may decrease. This, in turn, could open new opportunities for rapid growth of altcoins, which could potentially be more significant than in previous cycles.
Additionally, CryptoQuant noted that there are currently almost no investors in the market who are making substantial profits from altcoins, which may indicate potential for future growth in this segment.
Earlier, analysts from Santiment reported observing a trend of liquidity flowing from Bitcoin into altcoins, which could also influence the development of the current cryptocurrency market.
