Risk Diversification Strategy in Livestock Farming

Voloshyn emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between different areas of livestock farming, which allows the company to be resilient to market changes and risks. He noted that despite the challenges posed by the full-scale war, ‘Ukrprominvest-Agro’ continues to develop both dairy and meat production, without abandoning the breeding of pedigree heifers.

“Although the full-scale war has somewhat shifted the focus of our activities from breeding pedigree heifers to dairy-meat production, we are not abandoning the maintenance of heifers. Having various directions is the key to risk diversification.”

Potential of the Agricultural Holding and Main Areas of Activity

‘Ukrprominvest-Agro’ is one of the key players in Ukraine’s agricultural sector, engaged in the cultivation of agricultural crops, production of sugar, flour, as well as developing meat and dairy livestock farming. The company’s land bank exceeds 116,500 hectares, and its total elevator capacity for grain storage reaches 120,000 tons. Thanks to a wide range of directions and the scale of operations, the agricultural holding effectively diversifies its risks and enhances business resilience even in wartime conditions.
