Situation on Different Fronts
On the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk fronts, the enemy carried out three airstrikes, using eight guided aerial bombs (GAB), and conducted 57 shellings, one of which was from a multiple launch rocket system. One assault action by Russian troops was recorded. In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy attacked ten times in the directions of Izbytske, Ternove, Novovasylivka, as well as in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Synelnykove, and Vovchansky Khutory.
On the Lyman front, Russian forces attempted to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thirteen times, striking near Stavky, Zarichne, Yampol, Novy Mir, Ozerne, as well as in the directions of Novosergiyivka, Druzhlyubivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.
On the Kostiantynivka front, the enemy carried out twenty-three attacks in the areas of Illinivka, Pleshchiyivka, Sofiyivka, Vilya, Stepanivka, Toretske, Ivanopillya, and also advanced towards Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Bilytske, and Mykolaypillya.
Pokrovsk Front and Overall Situation
On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian troops stopped thirty-five assaults from the Russian army in the directions of Zatyshok, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Kotlyne, Udaine, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Filia, Hanniivka, and Molodetske.

According to the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, as of May 8, the Russian army has intensified offensive actions along almost the entire front line. The Pokrovsk front remains the most tense, where, according to him, Russia has concentrated approximately 106,000 servicemen.
The American Institute for the Study of War emphasized in its report on May 10 that Russian troops have failed to achieve significant successes on the battlefield over the past year, while Ukrainian forces continue to demonstrate positive results.
