Situation in Donetsk and the position of the General Staff of the Armed Forces
The head of the communications department of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces, Volodymyr Polovyi, reported that Ukrainian troops remain in the north of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk. These cities continue to be among the hottest points on the line of confrontation.
At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not confirm information about the capture of Pokrovsk by Russian troops and the withdrawal of Ukrainian units from the city. Earlier, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted that since the end of January, it had not recorded evidence of the presence of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk, which, in their assessment, may indicate the capture of the city.
Ukrainian defenders continue to systematically destroy the enemy and effectively resist on all sections of the front.
