Ukraine has gained unique experience in unblocking the food corridor in the Black Sea, which may be useful for other countries. At the same time, Ukraine was not invited to participate directly in resolving the situation in the Strait of Hormuz – partners were only interested in exchanging experiences.

Ukraine’s Experience in Unblocking Maritime Routes
During an interview with an American news agency, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine faced a similar problem when Russia blocked the food corridor in the Black Sea. The blockade involved not only combat ships but also helicopters, missiles, fighters, and other means. The Ukrainian side inflicted damage on part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, forcing the enemy to retreat from the corridor. Subsequently, the escort of civilian vessels was organized using maritime drones, which allowed for counteraction against Russian helicopters and offensive means.
“We had a similar problem when Russia blocked our food corridor in the Black Sea. They used a wide range of means for the blockade – not only combat ships but also helicopters, missiles, fighters, and much more. We destroyed part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and forced them to retreat from the corridor. Then we organized convoys for civilian vessels using maritime drones to counter Russian helicopters and other offensive means,” Zelensky reported.
Zelensky emphasized that currently the food corridor is under Ukraine’s control and operates stably. Ukraine is ready to share its own experience with other countries; however, no requests for direct assistance in the Strait of Hormuz have been received – it is specifically about consultations and experience exchange.
Russia is Assisting Iran with Intelligence Against Israel
Furthermore, Zelensky reported that Russia provided Iran with satellite intelligence regarding 50-53 energy facilities on the territory of Israel. This indicates cooperation between the Kremlin and Iranian authorities aimed at striking civilian infrastructure.
