Details of Mentions and Content of the Documents
In the declassified files, the word “Ukraine” appears 1,978 times, while Viktor Yanukovych is mentioned 47 times. However, experts note that none of the mentions indicate any personal or business relationships between Yanukovych and Epstein. Most of these materials are analytical reports, reviews from Western media, and informational summaries that were sent to Epstein’s email as part of a general monitoring of global politics.

Context of Mentions and Political Background
The documents also mention Paul Manafort — the former campaign manager for Donald Trump, who consulted pro-Russian politician Viktor Yanukovych from December 2004 to February 2010.
“One of Trump’s campaign managers, Paul Manafort, worked from December 2004 to February 2010 to assist pro-Russian politician Viktor Yanukovych,” the documents state.
Some of the materials are dedicated to the events of the Revolution of Dignity, as well as Viktor Yanukovych’s escape from Ukraine in 2014 after large-scale protests. Certain documents indicate that the mass protests against the pro-Moscow president led to his removal in February 2014. Another document emphasizes that “Putin’s harsh tactics, far from intimidating Ukraine, resulted in its people ousting the Russia-backed president Viktor Yanukovych last month.”
