In the Volyn region, near the village of Ozero, a group of civilians attacked servicemen from the territorial recruitment center. The incident occurred while the military was carrying out an official task to transport a conscript to the center.

Details of the incident and consequences for the military

According to available information, a group of about seven civilian vehicles pursued and deliberately blocked the military’s service transport. As a result, the service vehicle veered off into a ditch. After the accident, the civilians used physical force against the servicemen, shattered the car window, and forcibly freed the conscript who was being taken to the recruitment center.

As a result of the attack, one of the military personnel sustained a head injury, while another has abrasions on the forearm and face caused by shattered glass. According to the latest information, the condition of the injured is stable.

Investigation and legal consequences

It has been established that the individual who was freed during the attack is a resident of Zaporizhzhia and is subject to conscription for military service. Information regarding the incident has already been forwarded to law enforcement agencies, which are working to identify all those involved in organizing and carrying out the attack, as well as identifying the vehicles used.

The territorial recruitment center emphasizes that obstructing the lawful activities of servicemen, especially during a state of martial law, carries criminal liability.

The police have not yet released official comments regarding this case.

It is worth noting that a similar attack occurred in August 2025 in the Kovel district against employees of the Volyn Territorial Recruitment Center. Following the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 24, martial law was declared, and general mobilization was announced, with its duration being extended every three months by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
