Significant Price Decrease for Vegetables
Wholesale prices for key vegetables have fallen compared to last week. In particular, cucumbers now cost 70-120 UAH per kilogram, whereas just a week ago their price ranged from 100-130 UAH/kg. Green onions have nearly halved in price over the week, and pears have also lost value.
The price range for red tomatoes has significantly narrowed: they can currently be purchased for 50-60 UAH/kg, down from a previous price of 40-100 UAH/kg. This indicates market stabilization and an increase in supply.
Price Dynamics for Borscht Vegetables
The decrease in prices has also affected traditional borscht vegetables. White cabbage has dropped from 9-11 to 7-10 UAH/kg, while carrots have decreased from 9-12 to 8-11 UAH/kg. Additionally, cauliflower has become more affordable: prices have fallen from 30-35 to 25-30 UAH per kilogram.
The range of wholesale prices for potatoes has slightly widened and currently stands at 10-13 UAH/kg, compared to the previous 10-12 UAH/kg. This may be related to changes in market supply and seasonal factors.
Green onions have nearly halved in price over the week, with sharp declines in cucumber and pear prices.
Thus, Ukrainian consumers can expect more favorable prices when purchasing essential vegetables, which is an important factor during periods of economic instability and seasonal changes in market assortment.
