Main Parameters of the New Cash Payment Limits
According to the new rules, the maximum amount for cash transactions for individuals at the branches is 100,000 hryvnias per month. There is also a limit on the number of transactions — no more than 10 during the same period.
At the same time, the existing limits for receiving cash on a bank card remain unchanged:
- maximum amount of payment transactions per day — 29,999 UAH;
- maximum number of transactions per day — 50;
- maximum amount per month — 250,000 UAH;
- maximum number of transactions per month — 500.
Explanations and Recommendations for Customers
Ukrposhta emphasizes that most Ukrainians will not feel the changes, as the established limits meet the needs of the majority of users. Certain categories of customers who carry out more transactions or receive larger amounts are advised to prepare in advance for the new conditions.
“This is sufficient for anyone who is not engaged in entrepreneurial activities. However, if you intend to or are already selling goods, it is advisable to open a sole proprietorship or choose another legal form of work,” said Ukrposhta.
Thus, the new restrictions aim to enhance the transparency of financial operations and minimize risks associated with large cash payments through the postal operator’s branches.
