Ukrenergo does not expect power outages on May 28 in Ukraine

In Ukraine, on Thursday, May 28, there are no plans to impose electricity consumption restrictions. This information was provided by the National Energy Company “Ukrenergo,” emphasizing that the country’s energy system is currently operating stably.

Recommendations for consumers in the evening hours

The company urges citizens to use electricity responsibly, especially during the evening hours from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, when the load on the energy system traditionally increases. To reduce the risk of network overload, it is advised to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during this period and to move energy-intensive processes, such as washing or ironing, to daytime hours—from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The situation in the energy system after strikes and bad weather

As of the morning of May 27, new cases of power outages were recorded in certain regions of Ukraine. The causes were attacks by Russian troops, as well as difficult weather conditions—thunderstorms and strong winds—that caused damage to power lines and temporary interruptions in electricity supply.

“Consumers are urged to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during evening hours—from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and instead move energy-intensive processes to daytime hours—from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.”

Ukrenergo emphasizes that thanks to the conscious behavior of citizens and the optimization of consumption during peak hours, it is possible to ensure the stable operation of the power grid and avoid forced outages.
