Ukrainians’ Deposits in Banks Reached a Record 1.55 Trillion UAH in December 2025

As of December 1, 2025, the total amount of deposits from individuals, including individual entrepreneurs, in banking institutions of Ukraine reached 1,552.8 billion UAH. In November, this figure increased by 18 billion UAH, indicating the continued trust of citizens in the banking system.

Growth Dynamics of Deposits and Currency Structure

Depositors predominantly choose to keep their funds in the national currency. The amount of deposits in UAH at the beginning of December 2025 amounted to 1,021.3 billion UAH, which is 11.1 billion UAH more than the previous month. At the same time, deposits in foreign currency increased by 6.9 billion UAH, reaching 531.5 billion UAH.

Individual entrepreneurs account for 3.2% of the total number of depositors and hold 11.7% of all deposit funds, with their deposits totaling 181.3 billion UAH.

Distribution of Deposits by Size

In terms of deposit size, the largest share of depositors (57.77%) have amounts ranging from 10 to 200,000 UAH, but these deposits only constitute 27.22% of the total volume. Deposits exceeding 600,000 UAH are held by only 0.61% of depositors, yet they account for 51.45% of the total amount of deposits. Depositors with amounts up to 10 UAH make up over 40% of bank clients, but they represent only a negligible share of the total amount — 0.00%.

The proportion of individual deposits across different banking groups reflects the overall trend of increasing trust in financial institutions, contributing to the stability of Ukraine’s banking system.
