Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Implements Online Registration for Military Service in the Reserve+ App

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has launched testing of a new military registration feature in the mobile app “Reserve+”. With this option, some citizens will be able to register for military service remotely, without personal visits to territorial recruitment centers (TRC) and without the need for paperwork.

Details of Testing and Participation Conditions

Currently, participation in the testing is available only for men who are not yet registered for military service. Specifically, this applies to individuals who will turn 17 in 2026, as well as those who, at the time of application, are aged between 25 and 59 years. Men aged 18 to 24 are not currently involved in the testing.

To participate in the testing, it is necessary to fill out a special form. The subsequent steps are as follows:

  • receive an electronic invitation;
  • install or update the “Reserve+” app;
  • follow the instructions within the app and submit an application for registration;
  • after confirmation, the user receives their unique Reserve ID.

Registration Features for Women and Advantages of Digitalization

Women who are subject to military registration by specialty are currently unable to use online registration. They still need to personally visit the TRC and SP.

“Online registration reduces bureaucratic burdens, relieves TRC and SP, and simplifies the process for citizens.”

The introduction of the new feature in the “Reserve+” app aims to optimize the registration process, make it more accessible and convenient, and reduce queues at territorial centers. The ministry emphasizes that digital tools will simplify citizens’ interaction with military structures and contribute to increased registration efficiency.
