Demand for Ukrainian Berries in Europe is Growing

According to experts, ensuring direct supplies of products to supermarket chains in the Netherlands without intermediaries is quite challenging, but traders are willing to support Ukrainian exporters. Berries such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries are in particularly high demand. At the same time, there is increasing interest in frozen blueberries. Buyers from Europe appreciate the high quality of Ukrainian products, which has been made possible by the improvement of technological processes at domestic enterprises. Traders are not considering one-time deliveries or short-term contracts, but are focused on stable long-term cooperation.

It is noted that establishing direct supplies to Dutch supermarket chains without the help of traders is difficult. Meanwhile, traders are working with organic berries and are set to increase supplies for retail.

MHP Launches a New Business Direction

At the same time, the agricultural holding MHP, which is the largest poultry producer in Ukraine, is starting sales of liquid complex fertilizers under the brand MAG Fertilizers by MHP. Previously, these fertilizers were used exclusively in the company’s own production cycle. The development of this product took over four years. The main production facilities are concentrated in the Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions. The company expects that the retail launch of its own fertilizers will strengthen the development of partner farms and contribute to the further strengthening of Ukraine’s agricultural market.
