Ukraine confidently holds the second place in sunflower oil supplies to India in the 2024/25 marketing year. From September to July, Ukrainian producers exported 767,000 tons of sunflower oil to this country, which is 55% more than in the same period last season.

The Share of Ukrainian Oil in the Indian Market is Growing
In the 11 months of the current season, the share of Ukrainian oil in the Indian market has increased to 23%, compared to 12% in the 2023/24 season. This indicates a strengthening presence of Ukraine among global exporters of this product. At the same time, Russia maintains its leadership in the Indian market, with a share of 58% of total sunflower oil imports.

Exports to the EU and Monthly Records
In July 2025, sunflower oil exports from Ukraine increased by 47% compared to June, reaching 464,000 tons, making it one of the highest monthly figures for the current marketing year. The main driver of this growth was demand from the European Union, to which 206,000 tons were exported — 43% more than in June.
In July, 121,000 tons were delivered to India, marking the highest monthly volume since November of last year. Overall, in the 11 months of the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukraine exported 4.58 million tons of sunflower oil, which is 24% less than in the previous season.
