Prospects for Utilizing Ukrainian Resources

According to the expert, Ukraine possesses significant reserves of raw materials that are extremely important for battery production. These materials include, in particular, lithium and other elements for which there is global competition. The availability of these resources opens up prospects for Ukraine not only in the field of economic recovery but also in the formation of new production chains in the European battery market.

“Ukraine should pay attention to the raw materials it possesses, as most of these materials are critically important (both lithium and others) for battery production. This is what the whole world is currently competing for, and the direction related to the production of energy storage systems represents a certain opportunity associated with the future reconstruction of Ukraine,” the expert noted.

Benefits for Ukraine and Europe from Cooperation

The expert also noted that Ukraine can become not only a supplier of raw materials but also an active participant in the production of batteries for various technologies, including electric vehicles and drones. Particularly valuable for Europe is the experience of the Ukrainian drone industry, which can be integrated into joint projects for the development of advanced battery systems.

Krzysztof Burda emphasized that Poland already has experience in creating production chains for batteries, and therefore cooperation with Ukraine in this area can be mutually beneficial and strategic for the entire European electric mobility market.
