Legislative Screening and Readiness to Open Clusters

According to Svyrydenko, Ukraine has completed the screening of its national legislation in record time among all candidate countries. The first negotiation cluster is already ready to be opened. The Ukrainian side plans to make the most effective use of the three months of Denmark’s presidency in the EU Council to begin opening all clusters this year.

“Yesterday we completed the legislative screening — the fastest in EU history. The first cluster is ready to be opened, and our task is to use the three months of Denmark’s presidency in the EU Council as effectively as possible to open all clusters this year. During the meeting, I urged the European Commission to accelerate the preparation of technical documents so that we can move even more dynamically,” Svyrydenko wrote on her Telegram channel.

Reforms and Support from Partners

The Prime Minister thanked international partners for their financial assistance, particularly for the tranches under the ERA program. She noted that during the meeting, special attention was given to discussing the reforms that Ukraine is implementing even under the challenging conditions of wartime. Key areas include strengthening the independence of anti-corruption bodies, increasing institutional transparency, and creating new rules for business.

Svyrydenko expressed hope for continued support from lawmakers for government initiatives to pave the way for Ukraine’s EU membership.
