forum. In total, approximately 1.6 million people are employed in such enterprises.

The growth in jobs is observed in several key sectors, including trade, information technology, food industry, machine engineering, pharmaceutical production, and construction. A significant role in the increase of employees is played by the changing nature of relationships between employers and employees, particularly the transition of IT specialists to gig contracts.

Moreover, over the past year, large companies have raised their employees’ salaries by an average of 23%. At the same time, companies that offer compelling non-material benefits, such as development opportunities, a comfortable atmosphere, and stability, successfully retain employees even without significant salary increases.

It is also worth noting that Ukraine is experiencing an aging workforce: each year, the average age of employees increases by 4-5 months. Currently, the average age of a worker is 37 years and 7 months, while last year it was 37 years and 3 months, and in 2023 it was 36 years and 10 months.
