Ukraine and Serbia Plan to Create Joint Logistics Corridors for Trade Development

Ukraine and Serbia are strengthening cooperation in the agricultural sector, aiming to expand the volumes of bilateral trade and modernize logistics routes between the countries. The main focus is on the joint development of agriculture, processing industry, implementation of agricultural technologies, and the recovery of the agricultural sector.

Strengthening Agricultural Cooperation and New Export Opportunities

The Serbian side has expressed interest in increasing imports of Ukrainian agricultural products, particularly corn, wheat, oilseeds, as well as semi-finished products for the food industry. At the same time, discussions are underway to expand the presence of Serbian goods in the Ukrainian market — including meat, dairy products, and feed.

Kyiv and Belgrade are considering the possibility of creating joint logistics corridors that would allow bypassing existing transit restrictions and accelerating the movement of goods between the countries.

In recent years, the volumes of mutual trade in agricultural products have been steadily increasing. By early 2026, Ukraine and Serbia plan to present a joint roadmap for further development of agricultural partnership.

New Formats of International Cooperation

In addition to deepening cooperation with Serbia, the Ukrainian government delegation is preparing for a visit to Israel, where in two weeks the first meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will take place since 2021. Participants in the meeting plan to discuss prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector, economy, and artificial intelligence technologies.
