This week, the price of Turkish tomatoes in Ukraine has decreased due to a slowdown in sales and an increase in supply. This is evidenced by data from analysts of the EastFruit project.

To avoid accumulating unsold products in warehouses, sellers continue to lower their selling prices. According to daily monitoring, greenhouse tomatoes from Turkey are currently sold at 65-85 UAH/kg (approximately $1.57-2.06/kg), which is 10% cheaper than last week.
Reasons for Price Decrease
Market representatives explain this trend by an increase in imports alongside a decrease in demand. As a result, imported tomatoes in Ukraine now cost on average 19% less than at the beginning of April 2024.
Experts’ Forecasts
Most analysts predict that the decline in prices in this segment will continue as the market adapts to new supply and consumption conditions.
