Which Regions Will Benefit from the Increased Payments

Approximately 25,000 teachers from 84 frontline communities in the following regions will receive the increased payments: Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv. These regions are currently suffering the most from hostilities and shelling, complicating the work of educators and creating additional risks to their lives and health.

The Importance of Supporting Educators During Wartime

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the role of teachers is particularly significant in wartime. She highlighted the difficulties faced by educators in frontline communities, as they not only teach children but also nurture the future generation that will rebuild and develop Ukraine after victory.

“In times of war, when the enemy seeks to destroy us and our future, the work of Ukrainian teachers is more important than ever, as it is about raising our next generations – those who will continue to build the state. At the same time, this work is more challenging than ever – in conditions of shelling, especially in frontline areas,” said Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

In addition to approving financial support, Yulia Svyrydenko congratulated teachers on their professional holiday – Teacher’s Day, acknowledging their contribution to the future of the state even in the most difficult circumstances.
