During an interview with Marychka Dovbenko, Taras was asked about the reasons for the divorce and whether the ongoing war had affected his relationship with his wife. The artist noted that the war has significantly changed the lives not only of their family but also of millions of Ukrainians, as everyone is going through difficult times.
“Well, the war has impacted all aspects of life, both mine and Olena’s, and millions of Ukrainians. We don’t live in a vacuum,” Taras stated.
The singer emphasized that the divorce was a mutual decision, and he does not feel guilty about it. He is currently actively involved in raising their children and fully fulfills his parental duties. Regarding his relationship with the children, Topolia speaks warmly, highlighting that he feels at peace with his role as a father after the divorce.

Regarding the financial aspects of the divorce, Taras declined to provide details, citing existing agreements and a signed contract with Olena. He noted that he promised not to disclose this information, regardless of the circumstances.
