Rumble Introduces Bitcoin Tips to Support Content Creators

The video platform Rumble has announced the introduction of a new feature that will allow viewers to send Bitcoin tips directly to content creators through the platform’s digital wallet.

Partnership with Tether and Initial Transactions

  • Viewers will have the opportunity to financially support content creators using Bitcoin.
  • The feature was developed in collaboration with Tether and was presented at the Plan B forum in Lugano, Switzerland.
  • The first test Bitcoin transfer was received by Canadian vlogger David Freiheit.

“A historic first at @LuganoPlanB – @thevivafrei became the first creator to receive tips via Rumble Wallet. Freedom meets finance👊”

The new Bitcoin tipping system is set to become one of the largest cases for implementing cryptocurrency payments in the video streaming sector. According to the company, over 51 million monthly Rumble users will be able to directly support creators without involving traditional payment systems.

Digital Asset Development Strategy and Partnership with Tether

The integration of cryptocurrency features is part of Rumble’s strategy to create its own digital asset infrastructure focused on creators and viewers. The company expects that the use of Bitcoin will make the reward system even more global and independent.

In December 2024, Tether invested $775 million in Rumble, becoming one of the key strategic partners of the video hosting platform. According to the company, these funds are aimed at expanding Rumble’s audience in the U.S. to 100 million users.

Additionally, Tether plans to promote its own stablecoin USAT through Rumble, which will be integrated into the platform’s new crypto wallet.

Rumble is also developing a strategy for managing its Bitcoin treasury: the company has already acquired 188 BTC, indicating its intention to participate in the digital asset economy not only as a media platform but also as an active market participant.

According to Tether representatives, the partnership project with Rumble will serve as an example of “real implementation of cryptocurrencies in the field of mass digital services” and will demonstrate the capabilities of blockchain to support decentralized content monetization models.

Furthermore, Tether recently announced the launch of the Wallet Development Kit (WDK) — an open toolkit to simplify the creation of digital wallets.
