Revenue from the electronic services tax exceeded ₴6.9 billion in 4 months

From January to April 2026, the state budget of Ukraine was replenished by over 6.9 billion hryvnias thanks to the electronic services tax paid by foreign companies. This is 27.8% more than in the same period of 2025.

Growth in tax revenues and major payers

In the first four months of this year, non-resident companies providing electronic services to Ukrainian users contributed over 6.9 billion UAH to the budget, which is equivalent to 52 million euros and 97.6 million US dollars. Compared to last year, revenues increased by 1.5 billion UAH.

“Revenues increased by 1.5 billion UAH compared to the same period last year. Among the largest payers are: Apple, Google, Meta, Netflix, Sony, Valve, Etsy, Epic Games, Wargaming. We use the services of these companies every day. This includes advertising, streaming platforms, online games, applications, and marketplaces,” said Karnauh.

Expanding the circle of payers and legislative requirements

Since the beginning of 2026, 9 more foreign companies have registered as VAT payers in Ukraine, bringing the total number of such payers to 154 international companies.

According to current legislation, a foreign company is required to become a VAT payer in Ukraine if, over the past 12 months, the volume of its electronic services for Ukrainian users exceeds the amount equivalent to 1,000,000 hryvnias.
