According to the investigation, the incident occurred during negotiations with the police. The man threw a grenade at the feet of the law enforcement officers, resulting in injuries to three police officers, a 25-year-old civilian, and the suspect himself. All the injured received urgent medical assistance. After receiving medical care, the suspect was taken to a detention facility.

Law enforcement officials have opened several criminal proceedings. In particular, the case is being investigated under articles concerning the attempted murder of law enforcement officers, attempted intentional murder of several persons committed in a dangerous manner for hooligan motives, illegal handling of military ammunition, and hooliganism.
