Record Demand for Crossovers in Ukraine: Top 10 Most Popular Models of 2026

The Ukrainian automotive market in 2026 is showing a significant increase in the popularity of crossovers and SUVs. In the first two months of the year, over 87% of the 9,500 new passenger cars sold in Ukraine belong to these categories. This trend indicates a steady demand for off-road vehicles among Ukrainian consumers.

Advantages of Crossovers and Changes in Market Structure

The share of crossovers, SUVs, and pickups in the Ukrainian market has reached record levels, continuing to displace traditional sedans and hatchbacks. Experts note that this trend has been ongoing for several years, and currently, the demand for classic passenger cars continues to decline.

Sales Leaders Among Crossovers

Ukrainians show the most interest in proven models. The sales leader among crossovers remains the Renault Duster, followed closely by the Toyota RAV4. In third place is the classic frame SUV Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. The top 10 also includes models such as the Hyundai Tucson, Mazda CX5, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Touareg, Skoda Karoq, BYD Leopard 3, and Nissan Qashqai.

It is worth noting that among the top ten, there is only one electric model — the BYD Leopard 3 crossover. However, the demand for this electric vehicle has significantly decreased compared to previous months. Also highlighted is the Skoda Karoq — the only model produced in Ukraine that made it to this ranking.
