pump.fun’s Revenue in July 2025 Dropped to a New Low

The pump.fun platform recorded its lowest monthly revenue in the past year in July 2025, amounting to $24.96 million, according to DeFiLlama data. Although this figure still exceeds the earnings of the new project letsbonk.fun, the gap between them is gradually narrowing.

Decline in Revenue and Trading Volumes

Since its launch in January 2024, pump.fun experienced a period of rapid growth, peaking amid widespread interest in meme coins, particularly with the launch of tokens associated with Donald Trump and his wife. In February 2025, the service’s revenue reached an all-time high (ATH) of $137.12 million. However, the July figure was nearly 82% lower than the ATH, and revenue has been steadily decreasing since the beginning of the year, with the only exception being a brief spike in April.

“In July, pump.fun’s revenue dropped to $24.96 million. This is only slightly more than the new project letsbonk.fun. The number of active addresses and trading volume on both platforms are also declining. This may indicate a decrease in demand for meme coins overall, as the sector’s capitalization sharply contracted in early August.”

Data visualization shows that daily trading volumes on pump.fun began to steadily decline in July. A similar decline in activity is observed on another popular platform – letsbonk.fun, where revenue in July was $22.95 million, and average daily earnings decreased from $600–700 thousand to less than $500 thousand by early August.

Overall Trend in the Meme Coin Market

The decline in financial results for pump.fun and letsbonk.fun reflects an overall downturn in the meme coin sector. According to CoinMarketCap, in July 2025, the total market capitalization of meme coins reached $85 billion with a trading volume of $17.2 billion. By early August, these figures had fallen to $65.5 billion and $5.5 billion respectively, representing a decrease of 23% and 68%.

Previously, pump.fun conducted a large-scale token sale, raising $500 million in 12 minutes, but shortly after, the value of the PUMP token sharply declined.
