Updated conditions for accrual and new cashback limits
This year’s payments feature the first-ever cashback for fuel purchases. According to the program, since March 20, over 2 million Ukrainians have already taken advantage of this opportunity. From May 1, new limits have been implemented: up to 500 hryvnias cashback on fuel each month and a total limit of up to 3000 hryvnias within the program.
Since the beginning of March, the program has been operating under updated rules. For categories of goods with a high share of imports, a 15% cashback is provided, while for goods where Ukrainian products hold leading positions in the market, the cashback is 5%. Users can find out the accrual percentage using the ‘Diia’ app: in the ‘Services’ section — ‘National Cashback’ — a barcode scanner is available in the bottom right corner.
Use of received funds and the essence of the program
Citizens who have received funds under the ‘National Cashback’ program can direct them towards paying utility bills, purchasing medications, Ukrainian products, and books, as well as making donations to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
‘National Cashback’ is an initiative of the president that started in early September 2024. The program aims to support Ukrainian producers and provides citizens with a 10% return on the cost of purchased domestically produced goods.
Since March 1, 2026, changes have been made to the program: instead of a fixed 10% cashback, a differentiated approach is now applied — 5% or 15% depending on the category of goods. This allows for stimulating demand for Ukrainian products and supporting the country’s economy.
