“As of now, 32 people are known to have been injured as a result of the daytime drone attack on Lviv Oblast.”
The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, previously informed that after a meeting of the city emergency commission, 26 injuries were reported. He emphasized that the most important thing is that there were no casualties among the civilian population.
Significant Damage to Residential Buildings and Infrastructure
According to city authorities, the most affected areas were the Halytskyi and Sykhivskyi districts of Lviv. In the Halytskyi district, a building located at Soborna Square, 3, which is a national architectural monument, was damaged. As a result of the strike, 17 apartments were affected. On Bandera Street, 23 windows were shattered in four buildings, with six apartments requiring evacuation. Four families have already been temporarily accommodated in a hotel.
In the Sykhivskyi district, 19 apartment buildings were damaged, and over 1,300 windows were shattered by the blast wave. The most severe damage occurred to a building at 103 Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue, which was struck twice across four entrances housing over 350 residents. This building is without gas and electricity supply.
Damage to Transport and Cultural Heritage
The Mayor of Lviv emphasized that municipal transport was damaged: 30 windows were shattered, two windshields were broken, and five manholes were torn off. Preliminary damages are estimated at around 650,000 hryvnias, and specialists are still checking the condition of the electronics. Sadovyi urged residents in need of assistance to attend the mobile session of the CNAP on March 25 at the address: 12 Tryliovskoho Street (School No. 98) from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Among the damaged sites is the national architectural monument, the Bernardine Monastery Ensemble. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reported on a planned visit by UNESCO experts to Ukraine to assess the damage caused by the Russian Federation.
Russian military forces continue to deliberately attack Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure using strike drones, missiles, aerial bombs, and multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these actions as war crimes and emphasize their genocidal nature. The shelling leads to the destruction of vital facilities, healthcare institutions, energy sources, and water supply, depriving people of essential living conditions.
The Russian leadership denies the intentionality of strikes on civilian objects; however, the facts of the destruction of residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure indicate otherwise.
