Norway has decided to provide Ukraine with 200 million US dollars as part of the PEACE project implemented by the World Bank. These funds will be directed towards supporting Ukraine’s state budget, which will help ensure economic stability and the continuous operation of essential government services.

Support for Ukraine’s Macroeconomic Stability
According to Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, this assistance is a vivid example of Norway’s consistent support for Ukraine, especially during times of significant challenges.
“We welcome Norway’s decision to provide 200 million dollars in budget support to Ukraine through the World Bank’s PEACE project. We are sincerely grateful for this timely contribution to maintaining macroeconomic stability and the uninterrupted operation of key government services – this is an example of Norway’s leadership and its unwavering support for Ukraine during times of great challenges,” the statement reads.
Scale of Financial Resource Mobilization
Yulia Svyrydenko also emphasized that since the start of the PEACE project in 2022, Ukraine has managed to mobilize nearly 52 billion dollars. Of this amount, over 13.4 billion dollars has been allocated for pension payments, which is crucial support for Ukrainian citizens in difficult economic conditions.
Overall, since February 2022, Ukraine has received over 66 billion US dollars from the World Bank, of which nearly 40 billion consists of grants. Such financial assistance contributes to strengthening the Ukrainian economy and ensuring the functioning of state institutions even in wartime conditions.
