41-year-old Ukrainian singer Nata Smirina, a member of the band Pur:Pur and a finalist of the National Selection for Eurovision 2016, has become a mother for the first time. In spring 2026, the artist gave birth to a daughter, whom she named Lia.

Nata Smirina announced the birth of her first child on her Instagram page, where she shared touching photos with her newborn daughter. She noted that everything went wonderfully and promised to share more details later.

The performer also published a photo taken right after childbirth, adding that she had been waiting for this moment for a long time and now wants to fully dedicate herself to motherhood. Under the photo, she wrote: “A minute after birth. I didn’t wait in vain. I will tell everything a little later, for now, I will learn to be a mom”.
Colleagues from the stage rushed to congratulate Nata on the birth of her daughter. In particular, singer Jamala, who has known Nata since the National Selection in 2016, left a touching comment wishing happiness to the new parents.
Nata Smirina’s Career and Achievements
Nata Smirina is a well-known Ukrainian singer and a member of the Kharkiv band Pur:Pur, which was founded in 2008. Initially, the group consisted only of Nata and Yevhen, later joined by guitarist Stanislav. The band Pur:Pur actively performed at music festivals such as “Mamakabo”, “Jazz Koktebel”, and “Gogol Fest”.
In 2016, Pur:Pur reached the semifinals of the National Selection for Eurovision with the song We Do Change, but the victory was won by Jamala, who later brought Ukraine victory in the main song contest of Europe.
