Also among the leaders in popularity are advent calendars, with an average price of 1,492 hryvnias, as well as toy trains and racetracks, which cost buyers approximately 1,091 hryvnias. Carnival costumes and themed accessories remain a stable choice for festive events and celebrations in kindergartens and schools.

“Requests for gifts for St. Nicholas begin to gradually rise from the second week of November. A week before the holiday is the expected peak. Orders are increasing in all categories related to the holiday and preparations for the New Year,” the company’s press service told UNIAN.

Trends and New Preferences of Ukrainians

Compared to last year, Ukrainians’ tastes regarding gifts for St. Nicholas Day have remained virtually unchanged. Advent calendars, toy construction sets, carnival costumes, toys, and children’s clothing are the most frequently chosen items. At the same time, this year, among popular requests, devices for uninterrupted power supply have emerged, reflecting the modern needs of Ukrainian families in the context of unstable energy supply. This trend has persisted for over a month, indicating an adaptation to new challenges and a desire to ensure comfort and safety for children even during celebrations.
