Key Factors of Economic Growth

According to the minister, the main drivers of economic growth have been construction, manufacturing, and agriculture. These sectors are demonstrating stable dynamics and providing consistent economic growth even amid the ongoing war.

Forecasts for the Second Half of the Year and 2026

The ministry expects that the positive trend will continue in the second half of the current year. Oleksii Sobolev emphasized that the implementation of international investment agreements will contribute to economic development. In particular, about 200 million dollars will be directed towards various projects in Ukraine, which will further support GDP growth.

“According to the ministry’s forecast, growth will continue in the second half of the year. Sobolev stated that the implementation of international investment agreements will contribute to economic development.”

At the same time, the Ministry of Economy predicts that Ukraine’s GDP will grow by 2.5% in 2026.

It should be noted that the World Bank has revised its forecast for the growth of the Ukrainian economy in 2026 from 5.2% to 2%. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development maintains its forecast at 5%, provided that the war between Russia and Ukraine ends.
