MEXC Ventures, the investment arm of the international cryptocurrency exchange MEXC, has announced its investment in the Indonesian cryptocurrency exchange Triv, marking an important step in the company’s expansion strategy in the Southeast Asian market.

The deal was publicly announced by Triv’s CEO and founder, Gabriel Rey, during a press conference held on August 5, 2025, in Jakarta. According to him, securing investment from MEXC Ventures is a key milestone for Triv in strengthening its position among the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the region.
“We are proud to welcome MEXC Ventures to the Triv Group. This partnership will not only expand the range of available crypto assets and enhance the platform’s liquidity but also enable us to launch more innovative products for both new and existing users,” he stated.
The amount of the investment remains undisclosed; however, following the completion of the round, Triv’s valuation reached $200 million. Representatives from MEXC Ventures noted that supporting Triv aligns with their long-term development strategy in Southeast Asian markets.
Growth Prospects and Features of Triv
Triv has been operating in the market since 2015 and serves over 3 million users, offering more than 1000 different crypto assets. The exchange holds licenses for both spot and futures trading, making it one of the most versatile platforms in the region.
The investment from MEXC Ventures opens new opportunities for Triv to implement innovative products, including collaborations with MEXC Ventures. The partnership is expected to contribute to the growth of the user base and increase the adoption of cryptocurrencies in Southeast Asia.
Commenting on the deal, MEXC Ventures CIO Leo Zhao emphasized that Indonesia is one of the most dynamic and promising markets for digital assets in the region, and Triv has established itself as a reliable and secure platform that complies with all regulatory requirements and enjoys customer trust.
It is worth noting that MEXC Ventures previously made significant investments in Ethena Labs, the issuer of the USDe stablecoin, supporting the development of innovations in the stablecoin sector.
