A large-scale campaign has unfolded in Belarus involving the distribution of summonses and the urgent conscription of men for military training. Particularly active mobilization efforts are observed in border areas with Ukraine and Poland, leading to significant anxiety among the local population.

Conscription Without Exceptions and Social Tension
According to media reports and numerous discussions on social networks, even those categories of citizens who usually have the right to deferment are being drafted in Belarus. Among them are large families and men with small children. Local residents report that men are taken away hastily, without giving them time to prepare, and their mobile phones are immediately confiscated, resulting in a lack of communication with them.
“It is noted that even those with large families and those with small children are being taken. This has caused panic on social media: people are writing that men are being quickly taken away, their phones are confiscated, and communication is absent,” the report states.

Societal Reaction and Official Position
In thematic groups on social networks, Belarusian women are trying to ascertain the scale of the mobilization, actively discussing whether their husbands have been taken and in which regions this is happening most frequently. Many emphasize that there is practically no time given for preparation, and immediately after receiving the summons, men are sent to military units, with their communication being cut off beforehand.

The authorities officially confirm the conduct of such measures but emphasize that these are planned checks of combat readiness and a response to “NATO’s aggressive rhetoric.”
Amid the overall tension, news emerged of a phone conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. Despite the rising social tension, no mass protests against the actions of the security forces have been recorded. Analysts note that the strict actions of the authorities leave no room for open resistance, especially during the preparation for possible military actions.
