Lviv First in Ukraine to Introduce Automatic Display of Parking Fines in ‘Diia’

Lviv has become the first city in Ukraine where drivers will receive fines for parking violations directly in the ‘Diia’ app. Now, users of the service can check for administrative rulings regarding parking violations and pay fines online with just a few clicks, without having to wait for paper notifications.

Convenience and Efficiency for Drivers

As emphasized by Oleg Zabarilo, head of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure, this innovation will allow Lviv residents to receive timely information about imposed fines, take advantage of discounts for early payment, and avoid misunderstandings that previously arose due to delays or loss of postal notifications.

“Lviv residents will be able to receive timely information about fines, take advantage of discounts for early payment, and avoid misunderstandings related to postal notifications.”

Features of the New System

Currently, the ‘Diia’ app may display a technical message “except for parking fines,” as the system is in the process of being updated. It is expected that this text will be changed soon, and information about parking fines will be displayed correctly.

As noted by Maxim Smilevsky, head of the Department of Safety and Street Infrastructure, ‘Diia’ receives not the initial notifications left by inspectors after recording a violation, but already formed administrative rulings. This process can take up to two months.

In addition to integration with ‘Diia’, drivers in Lviv can also pay fines for improper parking through the chatbot @inspector_lviv, on the official website inspector.lviv.ua, using a QR code on the notification or ruling, in the driver’s electronic cabinet on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website, as well as through various payment systems.
