Creation of New Programs and Business Support
Ukraine and Germany are considering the establishment of an intergovernmental program that will promote the active involvement of German businesses in the reconstruction of industry in Ukraine. To this end, it is planned to implement grant support and export financing. Such measures will allow German companies to enter the Ukrainian market, supply modern equipment, and participate in strategic industrial recovery projects.
Energy, Resource Management, and Agro-processing
Particular attention during the negotiations was given to the issue of exporting biomethane from Ukraine. Currently, the German government is working on the necessary legislative changes that will open up the possibility of importing biomethane from non-EU countries.
The parties also discussed investment prospects in the extraction of strategic minerals, including lithium, titanium, and graphite. Furthermore, German businesses are interested in developing the agro-processing sector in Ukraine, specifically in establishing agro-product processing enterprises and constructing modern vegetable storage facilities.
“In particular, the parties are considering the possibility of creating an intergovernmental program that will stimulate German businesses to enter Ukraine through grants and export financing, supply equipment, and participate in industrial recovery.”
In the near future, a Ukrainian-German business summit will take place in Berlin, where further steps for cooperation and new investment opportunities will be discussed.
