The Kuibyshev Oil Refinery, owned by Rosneft and located in the Samara region, has completely halted oil processing following a large-scale attack that occurred on August 28. The annual capacity of the facility is 7 million tons of oil.

Damage to Key Plant Installations
According to sources, both primary oil processing units – ELD-4 and ELD-5 – were severely damaged as a result of the attack. Each of them can process up to 70,000 barrels of oil per day. Additionally, several secondary units of the plant were also damaged, significantly impacting the overall production capabilities of the facility.
The Plant Had Just Resumed Operations After Repairs
It is worth noting that the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery had only resumed operations a week prior to the incident – on August 21 – after completing extensive capital repairs that lasted from July 1. Thus, the facility operated for less than a week after the technical upgrade before its activities were once again halted due to new damages.
