Kormotech Plans to Expand Feed Production in Ukraine and Romania

Kormotech, one of the leading Ukrainian manufacturers of pet food, intends to increase its production capacity in Ukraine or Romania. This was announced by the company’s top manager, Igor Paraniak.

This is reported by Finway

“In Ukraine, we have two factories: a wet food production facility with a capacity of 27,000 tons per year and a dry food facility with a capacity of 55,000 tons per year. In 2023, we completed an upgrade, expanding the wet food factory. We are currently working on options to expand the dry food factory, considering two possibilities – expansion in Ukraine or Romania,” noted Paraniak.

Sales and Expansion Strategies

He also emphasized that Poland, Romania, and neighboring countries are strategic markets for product sales, which is why Kormotech is considering Romania as a potential location for its foreign production facilities.

Company’s Environmental Initiatives

Additionally, the company has begun construction of a second factory in Lithuania with a capacity of 40,000 tons, complementing the existing factory with a capacity of 20,000 tons. As Paraniak noted, the company’s development strategy involves actively utilizing green energy. A solar power plant with a capacity of 630 kW has already been installed at the first factory in Lithuania. It is expected that by 2027, the company will be able to obtain 15% of its energy from its own sources.
