Growth of the Truck Fleet and Tractor Imports

The number of trucks used for international transport has more than doubled since June 2022, when Ukraine introduced a visa-free transport regime with the EU, exceeding 100,000 units. According to Deputy Minister of Development Serhiy Derkach, during the full-scale war, the country has purchased more trucks than in all previous years of independence.

“During the full-scale war, Ukraine has bought more trucks than in all the years of independence.”

Tractor imports reached $762.55 million in the first 11 months of 2025, which is 5.5% higher than the same period last year. The main supplying countries remain the USA (21.8% of total imports), China (17%), and Germany (16.6%).

Dynamics of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

In November, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was replenished with over 2,600 hybrid passenger cars, which is 46% more than in November 2024. Of this number, the share of new cars was 51%, while a year ago this figure was 66%.

In the new passenger car market, electric vehicles confidently maintain their leadership: in November, their share of sales reached 40.9%. In comparison, gasoline models accounted for only 26.8% of demand. Particularly noteworthy is the increase in imports of Chinese passenger cars – last month, Ukrainians purchased 3,908 such vehicles, which is 380% more than a year earlier. The vast majority of them are electric vehicles (93%).

Overall, these trends indicate a reorientation of the Ukrainian automotive market towards environmentally friendly transport and a high demand for modern specialized equipment that meets the needs of both businesses and private owners.
