Prime Minister’s Statement on SANAE TOKEN

Sanae Takahichi published a clarification on her page on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing that neither she personally nor her office has any connection to the creation or promotion of this meme coin. She noted that the token enjoys some demand among users, but there were no official approvals or agreements from the government or her personally.

“I know absolutely nothing about this token, and my office has not been informed about what it entails. We have not given any approval on this matter. I decided to make this statement so that the public is not misled,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

At the time of writing this news, SANAE TOKEN is trading at a price of $0.008, with a market capitalization of $7.61 million. Despite this, shortly after its launch, the token briefly reached a capitalization of $27.72 million, after which its value declined. Hourly chart of SANAET/USD on the Raydium exchange. Token Ownership Structure and Parallels with Scandals

SANAE TOKEN began trading on February 25, 2026. According to DEX Screener, the three largest holders control nearly 60% of the total token supply, while over 900 addresses own only about 13%. Such centralization raises additional questions about the transparency and security of investing in this asset.

Experts suggest that Takahichi published her clarification against the backdrop of recent scandals involving politicians in cryptocurrency projects. In particular, earlier, Argentine President Javier Milei supported the meme coin LIBRA, which was positioned as the country’s “official” asset. However, after a sudden drop in its value, Milei removed any mention of the token, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing. Milei himself was officially cleared in an anti-corruption investigation.
