In December 2025, the market for used cars in Ukraine is showing dynamic growth. Over the past month, Ukrainians purchased 9,200 used cars under 5 years old that were imported from abroad.

Structure of Used Car Imports
In total, during November, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was replenished with 23,500 used cars. The share of cars under 5 years old accounted for 39% of the total number of imported used vehicles. This figure indicates a growing demand for relatively new cars among Ukrainians.
Among the imported cars in this segment, electric vehicles lead, making up 60% of all imported cars under 5 years old. Other types of powertrains are distributed as follows:
- gasoline cars — 27%;
- hybrid models — 8%;
- diesel cars — 4%;
- cars with gas equipment — 1%.
Advantages of Modern Used Cars
Buying a used car remains a significant investment for most Ukrainians. Drivers are increasingly paying attention not only to the design of the vehicle but also to its reliability, safety level, and maintenance costs.
This is especially relevant for people looking for a practical car “for years”: with moderate fuel consumption, modern driver assistance systems, and minimal maintenance costs.
The increase in the share of electric and hybrid models among imported cars indicates a trend towards choosing energy-efficient and modern solutions in the used car market in Ukraine.
