The new compact crossover Hyundai Exter 2026 has been officially presented for the Indian market. The model stands out with its affordable price — ranging from 579,900 to 941,900 Indian Rupees, equivalent to $6200–10,000. The vehicle combines modern design, a spacious trunk, and an economical engine, making it attractive to budget-conscious buyers.

Design and Exterior Features

The 3.8-meter-long Hyundai Exter features a refreshed exterior with distinctive angular lines. The front of the model is equipped with headlights featuring an H-shaped pattern, and among other changes are a wider grille, updated bumpers, and a robust body kit. Additionally, new alloy wheels and a stylish roof spoiler are available.

Inside, several changes have been made: a new steering wheel has been installed, and the interior finishes have become even more refined. The base trim includes a digital instrument panel, air conditioning, parking sensors, and six airbags. Higher trims offer options for keyless entry, a panoramic sunroof, climate control, cruise control, a rearview camera, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a dashcam.

Specifications and Engines

The Hyundai Exter 2026 is equipped with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine producing 83 hp or a factory-installed LPG version with 69 hp. Buyers can choose between two transmissions: a 5-speed manual or an automated gearbox. The average fuel consumption is only 5.1–5.2 liters per 100 km, ensuring excellent operational efficiency.

Earlier, Hyundai introduced the updated Accent starting at $12,000, and among budget crossovers, a seven-seat Nissan priced at $6200 also stands out.
