The beginning of the week was marked by a rapid increase in gasoline prices for A-95 at gas stations across Ukraine. As of Monday, June 16, the average cost of this type of fuel reached 56.28 UAH per liter, which is 95 kopecks higher than on Friday, June 13.

Reasons for the Increase and Expert Predictions
The main reason for the price hike, experts say, is the rise in oil prices on global markets. It is predicted that over the next ten days, fuel prices may increase even further — gasoline could rise by another 2.5 UAH per liter, while diesel fuel could increase by 3.5 UAH per liter.
“If current oil prices hold for another 10 days, we can expect further increases in diesel prices by 3.5 UAH/l and gasoline by 2.5 UAH/l. At the same time, large gas station networks, which have a margin buffer, may keep the price of A-95 gasoline below the psychological threshold of 60 UAH/l,” the material states.
At the same time, experts warn that an increase in gasoline prices to 60 UAH/l is not expected in the near future. According to Dmitry Lyoshkin, founder of the “Prime” group, last week’s increase in fuel prices by 74 kopecks per liter had no real basis, as there is usually a gap of several weeks between the moment oil quotes change and the adjustment of prices at gas stations. He also noted that gas station networks are likely trying to compensate for losses from declining sales since the beginning of the year.
Current Gasoline Prices at Various Networks
According to data from the “A-95” Consulting Group, on June 16, gasoline prices at major gas station networks vary widely — from 49.5 to 59.99 UAH per liter. The highest prices were recorded at the following stations:
- WOG, OKKO — 59.99 UAH/l
- Shell — 59.95 UAH/l
- SOCAR — 58.66 UAH/l
- Rur Group — 57.99 UAH/l
The lowest gasoline price is offered at “Ukr-Petrol” stations, where the price is 49.5 UAH/l.
