France to Provide Ukraine with 150 Generators and 71 Million Euros in Financial Support

France has announced the transfer of 150 generators to Ukraine in February and the allocation of financial aid amounting to 71 million euros over the course of 2026. This information was released by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine following negotiations between First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal and French Delegate Minister Nicolas Forissier.

Support for Ukraine’s Energy Stability

During the meeting, Denys Shmyhal emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation with France for the restoration and modernization of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. He expressed gratitude to the French side for their significant contribution to securing 30 billion euros in energy assistance as part of the European Union’s macro-financial support.

“France is one of Ukraine’s key strategic partners in the energy sector,” he stressed after meeting with the French Delegate Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment Attractiveness at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Nicolas Forissier.

Assistance in Restoring the Energy System

According to Shmyhal, 46 trucks carrying generators, transformers, and emergency equipment have already been dispatched to Ukraine to aid in the restoration of the energy system. French support will strengthen the country’s energy security and ensure a stable supply of electricity even under challenging conditions.
