Fire Point Plans to Begin Serial Production of Ballistic Missiles and Considers Exporting FP-5 ‘Flamingo’

Fire Point, a company known for producing the FP-5 ‘Flamingo’ cruise missiles, has revealed its plans for scaling up production and entering new arms markets. The company’s founder, Denis Shtilerman, shared his vision for the prospects of export and the development of missile technologies.

Export Prospects and New Agreements

According to Shtilerman, the Ukrainian defense product market faces certain bureaucratic hurdles that complicate the rapid export of missile weapons to European countries. However, he notes that the situation is gradually improving, and new opportunities for cooperation with foreign partners are emerging. The company is already in negotiations for the supply of FP-5 under a scheme where half of the 3,000 manufactured missiles remain in the country of production, while the other half is supplied to Ukraine as payment for the right to export the technology.

“We hope that this agreement will be signed in February,” Shtilerman stated. He added that the ‘Flamingo’ is a technological missile that costs €600,000.

Expansion of Production and Innovative Projects

Fire Point is actively developing its own production capabilities. Currently, the company is building a factory in Denmark for the production of solid-fuel engines, which will be used not only for the FP-5 but also for new models of ballistic missiles, the FP-7 and FP-9. The FP-7 will have a working range of up to 200 km and can carry a payload of up to 150 kg. The FP-9 missile is designed for flights up to 855 km with a payload of up to 800 kg. The first FP-7s are planned to be delivered for service by the end of the current year, and the FP-9 by June 2026.

Fire Point has also announced its intention to begin serial production of ballistic missiles, which will allow the company to strengthen its position in the international arms market and meet the growing demand for modern missile technologies.
